دخمۀ زرتشتیان کرمان

دخمهٔ زرتشتیان کرمان یکی از آثار معماری بسیار ارزشمند آیینی در مجاورت شهر کرمان است که قدمت آن به سالهای هزارو دویست وسی سه تا هزارو دویست وشست ویک هجری شمسی می‌رسد. در کنار آن دخمه قدیمی تر و اصلی قرار گرفته که تاریخ ساخت آن به دوران ساسانی است. از حدود سالهای هزار و سیصد و بیست  که شیوهٔ دفن زرتشتیان به دلایل بهداشتی و اجتماعی تغییر کرد این دخمه نیز متروکه شده‌است دخمه شهر کرمان معروف به دخمه مانکجی در حومهٔ شهر و در نزدیکی روستای سیدی در مسیر کرمان – زرند و در فاصلهٔ  پنچ کیلومتری شمال شهر کرمان بر فراز کوهی کم ارتفاع و در کنار دخمه قدیمی کرمان قرار گرفته‌است

Kandovan, A village carved out of mountains

Kandovan (in Persian: کندوان) is a village carved out of stones in heart of the mountain Sahand in district of Osku and bellow the main city of Tabriz in Province of East Azarbaijan in Iran.

Soltaniyeh or Oldjeitu's Mausoleum

The mausoleum of Oljaytu was constructed in 1302–12 in the city of Soltaniyeh, the capital of the Ilkhanid dynasty, which was founded by the Mongols. Situated in the province of Zanjan, Soltaniyeh is one of the outstanding examples of the achievements of Persian architecture and a key monument in the development of its Islamic architecture. The octagonal building is crowned with a 50 m tall dome covered in turquoise-blue faience and surrounded by eight slender minarets. It is the earliest existing example of the double-shelled dome in Iran. The mausoleum’s interior decoration is also outstanding and scholars such as A.U. Pope have described the building as ‘anticipating the Taj Mahal’.

Saint Stepanos Monastery

Chogha Zanbil ziggurat
